Marino Bracelets
The costume jewelry manufacturer Marino made some lovely bracelets, in both silver and gold, and something a little more unusual as well.
Marino made some absolutely gorgeous bracelets feauring cabochons of glass, gemstones and such. The bracelets fit right in with today's styles as well, which makes them collectable and wearable -- a great combination!

Costume jewelry designer / manufacturer Marino made some lovely items. Working mostly in silvertone and goldtone bracelets and necklaces, Marino also had flights of fancy with pins and earrings as well.

Laguna Vintage Costume Jewelry
Laguna vintage costume jewelry definitely has a "look", and is well known in two areas: pearls and crystals. And with good reason -- they did it well!
Years of Operation and Marks
Laguna has been around for awhile, from around 1944 through roughly the early 1980s. Actually, it's not known exactly when Laguna stopped manufacturing their jewelry.
The marks they used are:
- "Laguna"
- "KJL Laguna"
Obviously, the KJL Laguna mark is rarer and more collectable. (KJL being jewelry great Kenneth J. Lane.)
Buying Laguna Vintage Costume Jewelry
It seems that there are a fair number of necklace or earrings offered, but not to many sets. So, if you can get a matching necklace and earring set, all the better. (And if you can find one in an original presentation box, that's a score!)
Here are the Laguna vintage jewelry offerings. There are several pages worth, so enjoy your shopping!

Hollycraft Costume Jewelry
To me, Hollycraft costume jewelry epitomizes the 1950s style of jewelry. It's elegant without being over-the-top, yet still has plenty of sparkle. And it doesn't hurt that it's generally well made and very collectible. Count yourself lucky if you have any Hollycraft in your collection!
About the Company
Hollycraft costume jewelry was manufactured by Hollywood Jewelry Manufacturing Company. While the company started in 1938, it didn't start using the Hollycraft mark until 1948. And alas, the company closed its doors in 1971; the end of an era.
Hollycraft Marks
The Hollycraft marks are a little funky. On them you'll often see COPR instead of the expected CORP. Nope, not a typo (at least I don't think so), but it sure is different! (My theory is it's an abbreviation for "copyright".) Meanwhile, the marks are:
- "Hollycraft"
- "Hollycraft Copr" + the year of manufacture (1950's only).
- "Hollycraft" with the copyright symbol
Now that you know something about Hollycraft, here is some jewelry to brighten your day -- enjoy!
